In the event of serious weather conditions, the School will close typically in accordance with the Boulder Valley School District. There are several quick ways to find out if School is closed due to inclement weather:
- Check the BVSD website at www.bvsd.org. A red dot on the main page, means schools are closed.
- Call the Acorn School teacher line at 303-938-9503 or the main number at 303-938-8233.
- Listen to 850 KOA am radio for a cancellation announcement for Boulder Valley Public Schools.
If school closes before 5:30 pm, because of bad weather, parents will be contacted to pick up their children. Please be prepared for such an instance by informing individuals listed as emergency contacts that if parents cannot be contacted, they will be called to pick up children. Please be sure emergency contact information is current and correct with your child’s teachers
